Operational Reporting & Analytics
Workload statistics, BMS productivity, financial reporting, and audit trails for pathology laboratories. Plus case document compilation from structured content entered by authorised laboratory staff, with separate templates for histopathology and post-mortem cases.
Workload Statistics
Every case captures detailed workload metrics that feed into laboratory-wide statistics. Track BMS productivity, processing volumes, and staining workload across your team.
- Processing Counts - Track prosection count, cut-up count, section count, and total slide count per case. Aggregate across time periods for capacity reporting.
- Staining Metrics - Separate tracking of H&E stains, special stains, and immunohistochemistry (IHC) counts. Understand reagent usage and workstation demand.
- BMS Productivity - Each processing stage links to a named BMS technician. Report on individual productivity across prosection, cut-up, embedding, and QC checking.
- Turnaround Time Reporting - Track turnaround times from receipt to completion by customer, date range, and case type. Drill-down into individual cases and export detailed TAT reports.
Billing & Financial Reporting
Every case captures financial data including pricing, additional costs, and billing details. Generate reports to support invoicing, budget tracking, and cost analysis across your caseload.
- Case-Level Pricing - Record price and additional costs per case. Attach billing notes and budget codes for financial categorisation.
- Invoice & Payment Tracking - Generate customer invoices and consultant fee payments by date range. Track billing status, invoice numbers, and authorisation numbers. Export client and consultant statements in PDF and Excel.
- Budget Code Assignment - Assign budget codes to cases for departmental cost allocation. Report on spend by budget code, customer, or time period.
- Customer Reporting - Report on case volumes and costs by customer organisation. Support for membership numbers and order number tracking.
Case Document Compilation
CorePathology compiles case documentation from content entered by authorised laboratory staff. Separate templates are provided for histopathology and post-mortem cases, so each case type is compiled in the correct format. All clinical interpretation and authorisation remains the responsibility of qualified medical professionals; the software simply assembles and formats their entries for the laboratory’s use.
- Histopathology Documents - Structured case documents combining specimen details, clinical information, and the pathologist’s macroscopic, microscopic and supplementary entries into a single compiled document.
- Post-Mortem Documents - Coroner-specific document format compiling the pathologist’s entries for cause of death, internal examination findings, tissue retention, toxicology results, and histology sections.
- Specimen-Linked Templates - Each specimen type can be assigned a specific template, ensuring the correct format is used automatically based on the specimen registered.
- Status-Tracked - Documents are compiled only after all required sections have been marked complete and authorised by the laboratory’s qualified staff. The software records the status; it does not validate the clinical content.
What CorePathology Compiles and Reports On
From individual case documents to laboratory-wide statistics, CorePathology captures data at every stage.
Histopathology Documents
Compiled case documents combining macro, micro, clinical, specimen details, and supplementary sections with SNOMED-CT codes entered by the pathologist.
Coroner Documents
Compiled post-mortem documents capturing the pathologist’s entries for cause of death, internal examination, tissue retained, toxicology, and histology sections.
Workload Reports
Prosection, cut-up, slide, H&E, special stain, and IHC counts aggregated by technician, period, or customer.
Financial Reports
Customer invoicing, consultant fee payments, budget code allocation, client and consultant statements in PDF and Excel.
Staff Activity
BMS technician productivity across all four processing stages. Authorisation activity logs and caseload tracking per user.
Audit Reports
Case history logs, authorisation records, error tracking, and user activity trails for compliance and governance.
Reporting Features
Data capture and reporting tools built into every part of the system.
Document Compilation
Case documents compiled from authorised staff entries using case-type-specific templates and formatting.
SNOMED-CT Coding Data
All SNOMED-CT codes entered by the pathologist during microscopic examination are available for document compilation and statistical analysis.
Seven Workload Metrics
Prosection, cut-up, section, slide, H&E, special stain, and IHC counts tracked per case and aggregatable across your lab.
BMS Attribution
Every processing stage attributes work to a named BMS technician, enabling individual productivity and workload reporting.
Authorisation History
Full authorisation status trail per section, recording which qualified staff member signed off, when, and any subsequent amendments.
Financial Data
Case pricing, additional costs, invoice tracking, and budget code assignment feed directly into financial reports.
API Data Access
Pull-based API provides case data updates for integration with external reporting and analytics systems.
Case Search & Filter
Search and filter cases by any attribute - patient, date, clinician, customer, case type, status - to build targeted reports.
Audit Trail
Complete audit trail of all case actions with timestamps and user identification for compliance and governance reporting.
